Description

Hello you all! I just had to retry making a waterfall... I read first the peter sharpe's tut though I was already familiar with that technique. Well I'm not totally satisfied with this because I had to fix that waterfall a little by photoshopping and still it looks somehow very weird?:) This is at the same time also the end of my lantern&lighting experiments... next time I'll try some totally different... maybe some architecture and building modelling. We shall see, but be patient:) Thanks for looking and comments both critical and positive are welcomed!

I think you have done a great job with the waterfalls and as I said before, it takes practice. I do have one thought and suggestion. Water is a 'live' and has movement. When it is falling and hits an object, in this case the ground or rocks, it needs to 'dance.' It needs foam and bubbles. You can sometimes achieve this by not making the bottom as Peter Sharpe says, but making a new terrain where you have more control on where the crashing at the bottom goes. Also add or more erosion and noise. I have done also done two waterfalls and put them together. Because the falls are different, it gives a different effect. You have always done a fantastic job on the lighting! :o) All in all I would say this is a pretty spiffy scene!
