Description
I built this Chinese apothecary cabinet as a prop for a complex scene I'm working on in which it won't play a prominent part. Just part of the furnishings. But i liked it so i wanted to render it out. I finally got a brass texture I like for the handles. I don't read or write Chinese so the labels mean nothing at all as far as I know. But they might. The Buddha is there because I've been working on an SSS skin shader for the jade and I needed to test it under GI and Final Gather. Textures all made by me in Photoshop. The wood is tamarind. The reflection on the wood is the temple of the Jade Buddha. The scene this is going into is going to be rough. I still don't have a complete grasp of how to lay it out. I'm just doing the modeling I want until it's clear in my head.
