Description

I realize that making images like this officially qualifies me as having "lost it," but I'm hoping the digital art community will understand. Here, Sydney poses with a friend. I'm not sure, but I think the guy is Jason Alexander. (Kidding!) I'm going for realism and good compositing. This doesn't quite pass for a photo, in my opinion, but I'm working on it. The first person I showed this to exclaimed "Grody!" (No joke!) So, I guess I'm still stuck in the Uncanny Valley for now. At least I learned something about compositing along the way. The second comment I received was "the bust is too big" but I tried to explain that Sydney comes that way by default. Good thing I didn't use Vicky.

Hey, very nice job. These composites can be tough! I thought the lighting on her abit "bright" next to the other person (you?).Maybe global illumination would soften this? The resolution pixels/per/in used looks abit softer on her but very close. Any way nice job. Keep it up.

Excellent! For a split second you fooled me. Just a little bit more and you got it.

I think you've done a greatjob, the shadows don't quite match, and IMHO the hair is the biggest give away - but it's also the hardest to get right! I'm sure you'll be 100% fooling us all without much more work.

Not too bad. The guy looks a little fake though.
