Description

The shadow of a hiker outside of Roys Cafe, off of Rt.66 in Amboy, Ca. A real neat site along the "Mother Road". Made everything (Except the content cars) in 3ds Max. Used Vue 6I for the environment and the render. Enjoy the day.

The way you make your scenes is very professional - love it... that's the possitive. The Negative, well I guess you could take it negative, I don't mean it that way, is the size of you fireplaces. They caught my eye the most even over the hitchhikers shadow - which I thought was a cool Idea. You're not that much older than me, but I remember as a child Hitchhiking was big. It's been years since I've seen someone with their thumb on the side of the road... In a way, it's sad... I often wonder if some people in their 20's even know what a hitchhiker is.lol

Mike: Those aren't actually fireplace flues but water coolers mounted on the rooftops. I actually modelled their vents too, but this view doesn't show them. But thanks for pointing it out as I never thought of them being seen as anything but water coolers. And yes, hitch hiking was safer years back.

Nice!! I like the lazy mood of this scene. The asphalt texture seems a little big though. Nice modeling :-)

nice work, I like the subtle hitcher,clever...evaporative coolers [swamp boxes] roof mounted always end up leaking. I have a side draft on our house. we haven't used the refrigeration in 7 yrs. aprox. 1/4 the cost to run!
