Description

The 'rock' is a vertice I scrambled with a nifty little freeware program called Bantam3DScatter created by Guess. The programmer notes in the readme file: " This software application is named "Bantam3D Scatter". This software runs on Windows platform only. Bantam3D Scatter clones objects and scatters the clones over a defined area and space. The outcome is an object of .obj file format, which can be imported to any 3D applications for rendering. 2) Author name & E-mail address I am Geese, the programmer of this application. You can contact me any time at bantam3d@yahoo.com. Please write the word "Scatter" and the title in the title field of your email, because I often delete spam emails." Sorry I don't have link to his/her site so you'll have to Google/Scroogle to find it. As you can see, it rips the bejabbers out of OBJ file (the final OBJ was 7.5 megs). I also used MeshMaster to fix any holes in the mesh and exported as a smaller DXF file. I'm going to make a few more of these puppies and see what hapens. :D The chinese Junk was made by a Russian artist that I found via a post in the Bryce Forum. He also made a model of the Titanic, which I was tempted to use in place of the Junk. If you're the artist, please let me know since I may use the model in the final (if any), render. You make great detailed models. Oh, and I didn't make the water or the Mat. The water is in the CalWater collection (from 3DCommune I think), entitled "ContestWinner1". The Terrain Mat is from TerrainPack1 entitled "Tupoy". As for the Sky, I seemed to have forgotten to write the name down. Drat! So if you (or anyone), recognizes their work please let me know and I'll add a post giving credit. That's it and I'm still messin' around. You can add comments or suggestions which will be cheerfully ignored if I don't like them. :D Best Jacques
