Description

I spent many years working on Broadcast Transmitters....I dedicate this to Thomas A Edison: The inventor of the Lightbulb and many other facinating things, including the first Phonograph, and the movie projector. "I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward." -Thomas Edison

This is really unique and a great capture. One of my favorite quotes. I just love the color and simplicty of this pic, and taking items not generally thought of as beautiful, and making a beautiful image with them!

All the equipment in the radio studio I visited in 1960 were up on shelves around the perimeter except the turntables the DJ used and the microphones for the commentators. Plenty of lights blinking or steady. These are fascinating.

OOhhh..my Chuck...I just had a little cry, looking at those tubes..the smaller one there- reminded me of my Dad's old ham radio bulbs- they were always kicking around the house- and I used to get upset having to clean up after the younger kids played catch with them.....What would I give right now...to be there again!!! Beautiful close up !! Awesome Image- and thank you - It made me smile as well.... Big Hugz anne

Man! Those are some Honkin tubes! I was an elec. tech for a long time, but worked mostly on audio equipment - nothing like this. The biggest tubes I messed with were 6L6's. :^) Superb image, the color, composition and everything, and a great dedication to Edison!
