Captured in either 2007 or 1407.
One thing you gotta say about the inhabitants of my city; they may be paranoid and unfriendly, but they sure have a wide variety of neat strange things on their front lawns...perhaps to frighten away evil spirits...such as strolling photographers!
So, I found this jolly fellow (one of a pair) about 1.25 miles from my residence, and snapped some shots of him, all this while enduring the frenetic barking of all kinds of wild eyed guard dogs: pit bulls, German Shepherds, Dobermans, Rottweilers, Cujo, etc. Ain't easy to concentrate under such conditions. At least no human came outside to challenge me. Thank heaven for small favors.
Oh, by the way, if you haven't noticed, I did do some postwork on this photo.

cool post work. I appreciate the sculptured creation but I have never cared for gargoyles. had a fear of them as a child
