Description

This is located at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco..several of these types of structures were originally built for the Panama Pacific Exposition of 1915 to celebrate the completion of the Panama Canal and the rebirth of San Francisco from the 1906 earthquake. Over the years they fell into disrepair or were torn down. In the early 1960's restoration was started to bring them back as they were but with modern building materials and construction methods.. this area is now a major tourist attraction...an excellent effort with great results...

Not everything is worth saving simply because it's 'old.' However, being 'old' is also one P..s Poor reason for tearing something down. This looks irreplacable and worth hanging on to. Great shot.
