A superb shot, Dear Richard. I love the smell in the blacksmiths shop and of course the horses. Used to spend a lot of time with the blacksmith who looked after all the police horses when I lived In Manchester. Happy Friday for my kind sir, hugs and kisses. Di.

No wonder there's global warming. Even Johnny Cash wouldn't walk the line on that blast furnace! Actually, that kind of looks like the top of a volcano. Great POV, colors and contrast in this capture.

Excellent shot as I know trying to capture the true colors of a fire are difficult unless you have a wonderful camera. Good job!

Looks hot, that's for sure. I think it would be pretty interesting to see a blacksmith make something from scratch. Intriguing shot, nice work!!

Fantastic job, must have been difficult to capture with such 'hot' light. This could almost be dante's. Great work, Richard.

Dear Richard, I'm rushing like crazy today!!! (See below!!!) HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!!!!!!!! That is really a super picture!!! I love the glow!! You don't really see "heat" except around foundry type places!! I toured a steel mill once and was dazzled by all of it!!!! I've got a project coming up where the color will come in handy as a reference!! This one has to go to favorites!!!! I've fallen so far behind this last week as things have been really hectic while THE Boss has been gone. And sadly, it's going to get worse. He got back in early Friday morning from Mexico and now he and I are headed to the Far East this afternoon!! Even worse, I'm about to spend 14 plus hours in the back of a Boeing "bus" as the Cessna CJ3 is not made for ocean hopping the Pacific. Even the Citation X would need some fuel stops. It's a long darn way!! We're heading to Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Macao so far. I was wanting to "go somewhere" but not too sure about all this - a mountain top seems a lot more peaceful than all the hustle and bustle ahead of me!! Anyway, I'll be gone for ten days or so. I'll be checking e-mail and Renderosity IM's as often as I can. Love ya!!!! Meredith Meredith Elaine Wilson - MeredithLand

I remember the hot forge only too well, from my days as an apprentice engineer Richard. It was lovely and warm in the winter, but a little bit too hot to trot in the summer. Excellent shot Sir! Steve :o)
