Je länger man malt, desto mehr ist man Lehrling The longer you paint the more you are an apprentice.

Brief introduction: SaintFox is
-a woman born 1962 at the north sea coast of Germany.
-moved to the german midwest in 1996
-to a small town that offers a lot of medieval inspiration
-has at least two souls
...and about the nick: It's a mixture of my haircolor and a tattooed fox cub that I wear and that looks so saintly as a vegetarian. As long as I can think I enjoyed being creative - and I always loved learning something new! As I had my first look here I so much wanted to do images like the ones I saw in the gallery. But it took me several years to be brave enough to post my first image here. After all I do not understand anymore what made me hesitate so long... I'm a professional artist/illustrator, not at least because of the permanent encouragement of the "Captain of my heart", he's my muse, my secretary, my "wonderwall" against those things that are able to disturb creative processes so easily. Most of my work is published by a german gallery in Gelsenkirchen and available at my own homepage, too. In late 2005 I wask asked for my first collaborated works and so I finally found a second profession in doing my own characters and textures what enables me to give my images even more personal style.
Whenever I start to work on something new - especially when working with characters - there is a moment when the bundle of polygons and pixels suddenly seems to look at me from the other side of the monitor, it's the moment when my creations get personality. This is, at least, what I like to "transport" with my products: artist tools that are able to inspire the people that work with them because they have a kind of "virtual soul".
A woman under influence
Major influences on my work come from other admired artists and music. Some of my favorites: Jan Vermeer van Delft James Jaques Tissot Rembrandt van Rijn Hajime Sorayama Olivia De Berardinis Marcus Gray Herb Ritts Helmut Newton Alberto Vargas Ricky Carralero Gerald Brom ...and, regarding the feelings that I have when doing my characters: Dr. Viktor Frankenstein! Music: Too much to count, alternative and classics preferred but sometimes it has to be soul or jazz, too. The second large influence are people I met here: They comment on my images and help me to enhance them, they share their knowledge and finally some of them decided to involve me in their projects. For me (as I grew up in the before-internet-age) it's still some kind of miracle that people are able to work together independent of where they live.
...and, before I forget, the strongest influence during the last years came from some lines I read about 15 years ago:
Beauty is an experience, nothing else. It is not a fixed pattern or an arrangement of features. It is something felt, a glow or a communicated sense of fineness. What ails us is that our sense of beauty is so bruised and blunted, we miss all the best.

I cannot say enough about your lighting package! I am overwhelmed by the results that I had never achieved with lights before. And, I learned so much with the 18 page tutorial that accompanied it. As I told you, Meike, it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. Wow, what an achievement. Many thanks for allowing me to have the first taste of your product. I like the expression on Jule's face, too.

Absolutely KILLER lights!! Have to agree with camera---they simply rock. I've even started a whole folder of light combinations I've got with your lights and lights mixed with your lights... :D All my promos for Asheni and LOTN were done with SaintFox lights!! Just amazing illumination!! OH! And it's quite the render, too!! Jule is such a Jewel... :D

I love it. I always zoom in, you do not need to dare me. I may barrow your idea on music themes when I run out of mental illness's since you are not using it LOL... I was thinking of starting with " Mary had a Little Lamb"...grin

I'm on dial up, so I don't zoom in often...but what the heck, you dared me. I'm really glad I did...the details are so much clearer. Excellent work...I need to go buy that light set.

Great lighting!!! But I don't get the meaning of that bright spot on the lower part of her body. Maybe I miss something, but I don't like it. Overall great picture :-) I have Poser 7 but haven't had time to expore the program yet.

Never mind, dear, about the emails :) It's a fantastic lighset- have rendered two images with it so far, had no much time these days, as I told You I had some problems to upload my new product... And now I am sitting here in Prerow/Darwaiting that it becomes evening and we will have to make music :) I am sure the lights will be a runner. They are worth every penny. A complete new idea in using lights and You can use and combine them with every lightset You own- it will increase all :)

Dear Meike, I'm rushing like crazy today!!! (See below!!!) HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!!!!!!!! You lighting looks really wonderful!!! I'm sure a LOT of folks are going to find it really useful!!!! Super job with the gal and the chair!! A very stunning and very suggestive piacutre indeed!!!!!!! I've fallen so far behind this last week as things have been really hectic while THE Boss has been gone. And sadly, it's going to get worse. He got back in early Friday morning from Mexico and now he and I are headed to the Far East this afternoon!! Even worse, I'm about to spend 14 plus hours in the back of a Boeing "bus" as the Cessna CJ3 is not made for ocean hopping the Pacific. Even the Citation X would need some fuel stops. It's a long darn way!! We're heading to Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Macao so far. I was wanting to "go somewhere" but not too sure about all this - a mountain top seems a lot more peaceful than all the hustle and bustle ahead of me!! Anyway, I'll be gone for ten days or so. I'll be checking e-mail and Renderosity IM's as often as I can. Love ya!!!! Meredith
