Description

This Blue-Ribbon can dates to an era when people still generally used a "Church Key" to get at their brew. Only the top is made of aluminum, the rest is steel. Brenda pointed out that the seam being double thickness is why that part has survived this long. I suppose it's a moot point now; the can has finally found its way to a dumpster, and from there it will journey to its final resting place. (btw, we love our new cam!) Have a Great weekend and Thanks for Looking! Ken

I think just about anything would look good up against that rock surface. The colors are great bunny. If we pick up all the trash, there won't be any cool stuff for people to look at........... But someone has to do it. Cool shot.

Fantastic find and snapshot! What I'm amazed at is that many people must have walked by this can over decades and yet not one stopped to pick it up. I would have. I'm so tired that people think the world is one big garbage can and they can toss their garbage wherever they feel. Gee, let's go hiking in the beautiful and pristine woods. There aren't any anymore...there's gabage everywhere. I'm proud that none of it is mine. Thanks for the profound imagery!

Yes I remember it, nasty tasting beer it was. Good riddance I say! Great bit of history.

Yup, great capture of an interesting find. Them old steel cans were hefty, to be sure. Looks like it was an old "pop top" type. Gotta take issue with dcatwell, though. I think PBR is still around and palatable. Now Blatz was nasty!
