I was born in Zimbabwe on 03/06/88. My family, consisting of parents, older brother and sister, migrated to South Africa when I was six months old. We moved back to Zimbabwe six years later, to help my grandparents on their farm - a career change for my father.
After a measly eighteen months we upped sticks and went farming on our own. This led us to Kwekwe, in the heart of Zimbabwe, to farm tobacco! Borrowdale farm which is part of the "Midlands Black Rhino Conservancy" is where we settled . This was the most incredible experience, living with such an abundance of wild life ........... of which we became a part of during the school holidays! Due to the "land redistribution policy" we had no option but to move on.
10th November, 2001 saw us arrive in New Zealand with our former lives packed into a suitcase each, ready to start our new lives. Our first three years were spent on the South Island and I nearly froze!!!!!!! A great employment opportunity for my father had us move up to the North Island. I now live on a farm just outside Matamata aka "Hobbiton" (defrosting).
Yep that should sum it up ha!

Nice clarity as always, i think the post work is fine... i didnt notice it until i read what you put. I'm not entirely sure about the top of the bench being pretty much on the horizon, but i cant imagine what it might look like further below or even above the horizon... i blame the hangover ;) Hope all is well and you are enjoying your transport assignment :)

Lovely planned shot kai - I actually like the vidging on the top edges, If anything thou I would've put the vidging on the bottom and to 'open' the image more for the viewer's mind to wonder.

I have a lot of catching up to do. Specially when I miss images this good. You were missing a bit too, so I don't feel so so bad. Love the shots of benches. Have a really good week Kai.

I know what you mean about feeling lazy. That's one of the reasons it took me so long to comment on this. Anyway, it's a lovely quiet capture and I think the darkened edge doesn't detract in any way. Would be so nice to sit on this bench right now and not here at my pc, I tell ya that! Anyhoo, have a lovely evening or night there...I can never wrap my brain around our time difference, lol.-M :^)
