Description

The Invaders, an old SciFi TV show from the 1960's. Made the Saucer in 3ds Max and used Poser to make the running man. Used Vue 6I for the environment and rendered in 3 layers. Each layer was postworked in Gimp before flattening to a single image. Enjoy.

Dear RBlue, (You're gonna have to tell me your name!!!! If you can trust a blond!!!! Ha-ha-hah!!!!) HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!!!!!!!! I've been wanting to thank you for the comments and favorites but I've been running in a zillion directions - and still am!!!!! I've fallen so far behind this last week as things have been really hectic while THE Boss has been gone. And sadly, it's going to get worse. He got back in early Friday morning from Mexico and now he and I are headed to the Far East this afternoon!! Even worse, I'm about to spend 14 plus hours in the back of a Boeing "bus" as the Cessna CJ3 is not made for ocean hopping the Pacific. Even the Citation X would need some fuel stops. It's a long darn way!! We're heading to Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Macao so far. I was wanting to "go somewhere" but not too sure about all this - a mountain top seems a lot more peaceful than all the hustle and bustle ahead of me!! This is really a cool picture from the "golden years" of TV sci-fi!! I had an uncle that taught me to read at a very young age. He was a sci-fi fan and collector - so my textbooks were all the classic sci-fi pulps!!! I've got a sci-fi spoof coming up called "SpaceD Blondes" that also involves a saucer showing up unexpectedly!!! Super job with the panicked look and the desperation running!!! Nice modeling of the ship, also!!! And a great job on the background and getting all the elements to work together!!!! Excellent work!!! I'll be gone for ten days or so. I'll be checking e-mail and Renderosity IM's as often as I can. Love ya!!!! Meredith Meredith Elaine Wilson - MeredithLand

Fun trip into the past, this show scared me plenty when I was younger, the ship visual and sound effects they used were very effective, as is this nicely done artwork!!!
