Description

Flowering plum trees are abundant here in the Pacific Northwest. I found a beautiful old tree with quite a bit of character to bring for show and tell today! This will be of particular interest to Burpee and NekhbetSun, because I actually used layers to do this! In Photoshop! * gasp * (This is a new skill for me, and one I've been struggling with for a looooong time! They've been laughing at me on a fairly regular basis for being so dense. In a nice way, of course!) The sky in the original photograph was totally white. I got another shot of the sky later on in the day when the clouds had started to clear off, and I replaced the sky. (I admit I had some help, and couldn't have done this without einzie1, who is patience itself.) Helpful comments are appreciated, since I'm still pretty new to the whole photography thing!

Well dear, I must admit that I don't know how to do what you just did, lol. Tell E that he must stop by my house next, lol. I can think that perhaps you created a 'fill' with the sky picture? I don't know how to do that. I say BRAVO!!
