Looking good. Lighing is, or to me, one of the hardest to get down. I am still learning after buying my first poser in like 2002/2003, I can't even remember anymore. I love that harp. When I render in Bryce, items has a blurred look to them, I don't notice that on yours. I really need to learn more about it I guess. Great job!!!

DL Greetings, I love your composition in this one I think your doing a great job of placing objects. The main idea is to make it look natural and show off things that you want to be seen. When I do an image I also try balancing things out...Shannon ;}

Personally, I love Bryce for the lighting abilities, but I always find that "Human" figures get a kind of flat, unrealistic feel when rendered in Bryce. I'm not a huge fan of Poser either, but at least it renders flesh/skin without that flat look. In DAZ, if you are looking for more realistic lighting effects than what some of the light sets can give you, I suggest using a single "distant light" first. If the position of the shadows isn't what you like, move the light into a position that simulates sunlight (X trans: =/-500, Y trans: +500, Z trans: +500), and have that light "Point At" an object in your scene. This will effectively change the shadows around and give a more realistic lighting effect than some of the light sets that are really designed to go with the scene they were created for and not much else. You can then add a couple spotlights for effect, increasing or decreaing their intensity to suit you scenes needs. I would suggest for rendering that you use the 3Delight software rendering engine, and have your distant light be the only one that cast shadows (set to raytraced). You can then move the distant light around until you get the shadow efects you are looking for. Hope this helps, W3DC

This is a wonderful scene!! You are too hard on yourself. I love this. It's very sassy and poignant at the same time. You could illustrate a children's novel with this, or a great book cover. She has that heroine appeal. :) I'd read the book just from this cover. :)
