Hi and thanks for stopping by...
My name is Esté Visser and I'm from Cape Town in South Africa.
I've been inspired by lots of people here at RR and I thank everyone for their encouragements!
I love photography and hope to be better at it with every shutter that opens and closes...
Also feel free to visit my husband's (onefish) gallery...
Ciao

Yeah baby!! I know it's not suppose to be something wonderful, but having a chance to shoot a big fire is always a rare opportunity. You got a great shot of this raging fire, the helicopter really adds to the drama here and gives it nice scale. I hope you submitted this one to the local paper! Excellent shot! Aloha~

Excellent capture, glad it was controlled, Bravo!!

Stunning shot. Amazing detail of the fire and smoke and the water just about to be poured on to if from the helicopter. What a timely shot. So glad it is out now but I do find fire a fascinating phenomenum to watch - so hypnotic!! Excellent capture Este. xx

Hey, hey, hey, a way better photo than all of my car fire captures combined! Just look at the multicolored smoke billowing into the sky! Fantastic POV, DOF, and shot of the helicopter drop! Spectacular, if nothing else! Brush and forest fires like this are a constant occurance here in bone dry Southern California. You were fortunate indeed to photograph this at its height. And, when you mentioned Signal Hill, I thought it was the one here in Long Beach, CA.
