Herein lies
A child of the moon
Imbued with too few
Strands of the blazing sun
An ashen wraith bound
To dwell in that breath
Between night and day
Barely a glimmer at twilight
Strong is the desire to stand
And shine under the sun
Stronger is the need to elude
Things that are ever there
Stirring slithering in shadows
A cold numbing embrace
Running with nowhere to go
Clawing and crawling
Willfully shifting forward
Seeking wonderments
To satiate the wanderlust
To satisfy its hollow soul
To achieve perfection
To sustain balance
