Description

I struggled with the title for this for a while, so I went with both -- pick the one that suites you most. Got the idea while enjoying my nightly Stolie's Martini, nothing like straight Vodka to take the edge off. Thank you all for the support and comments, nothing like it -- almost beats having that Martini. --Little quiz for you Martini drinkers. Where was the Martini invented or discovered? Tootles.

Beautiful image...as for your quiz, I believe the martini came to be from the drink we know as gin...at that time, I believe back around the 1800's gin was used as a medicine...I'm not sure what year the martini came to be but I believe it was the Dutch who found it.

The dry martini was invented in 1912 by Signor Martini di Arma di Taggia, the bartender at New York's Knickerbocker Hotel. At least that is one theory. There are so many that it boggles the mind. That it was actually made as an off shoot of the Martinez drink which had Vermouth in it, Old Tom's Gin, etc. Now as for the Vodka Martini. Oh it was me. Now where was the Dirty Martini Invented. That is one of my lady's favorites. She likes it extra Slutty! LOL! Beautiful...I need a three martini lunch today!
