Description

This is the result of my imagination running a bit wild on a lazy Sunday. I was inspired by some landscape photos of Portugal, but the picture evolved to become something very different along the way. Used a number of different techniques that I have learnt since I started using Vue, such as lighting, ecosystems, terrain editing. This was the first time that I really used the plant editor - it is a lot of fun! The trees are modified versions of the Plum Tree that comes with Vue. Also used slightly modified versions of Angela Hauer's Dandelion and Daisy models, available at C3D. My feelings are that this picture is on the threshold between realism and surrealism - I'm not sure which it is! I had a lot of fun making this picture, I hope you enjoy it too. Thanks for looking! :)

looks great! but with the depth of field, it looks like a small model. other than the depth of field thing going on, this is very nice! :) -chachi

Wonderful scene, this looks real enough but not in a worldly way more of a model, that's usually down to DOF applied in PS or such like and the size of the mesh in Vue, it's an lovely render, reminds me of a kiddies animation.
