Description
My first retouched render in months. There wasn't really the much wrong with the original but, I just wanted to play around with it. It was my very first 3D render and I spent forever on it back then. I retouched and post worked it into an ancient stele now, which I'm quite proud of how it turned out. I got my inspiration while reading a book about Egyptian antiquities.

Very strong scene you created here. Clean spirit and good atmosphere. Egyptology, or the science of studying the ancient language, history and religion from the hieroglyphics, is a thing of almost yesterday, and may be looked upon as one of the most romantic episodes in the domain of literature. Your technique here is wonderful, with the crumbling edges, colour and textures giving the ancient feel. The quaint figures add a modern touch. Great work; very original and creative!
