the saber hilt/handle looks great, but the blade/beam is off to me. looks like a solid object rather than an energy beam. try the transparency settings for that object. the core of the blade should be white/off white and the color should be in the glow. keep it up! :) -chachi

Thanks I am not even gonna say how many more renders are on photobucket LOL this was my first render and I forgot I can only upload 1 image a day :( (for now) But yes you are right the blade does seem off though I am exploring other avenues on how to make it more laserbladeish and am still playing with settings like a 10 year old in a power plant :)

Nice WIP. Dunno about the shadow towards the handle... Maybe you place the lightsaber closer to the wooden surface? Have fun with Carrara. :)
