Can anyone comment on the lighting.

the modelling is great,lighting : what renderer are you using, I would normally use mental ray, mental ray : have one main direct light source from outside, turn on GI and FG set your samples to the correct size. That should help for mental ray, scanline: Use a large direct light outside for the sun and use omni lights to simulate GI and bounced light inside, takes a bit to get just right but looks good.
