Description

Hi, I have worked on this project for a lot of weeks and, I am still working on, but... the time that I can show some images has now arrived, so I would like to begin with some very large views. I have started this scene since early beta versions of Vue 6. so in this way, it brings with itself, some native bugs, that I don't able to correct. Some technical notes: - as it's easy to imagine, the scene is full of ecosystems, there are 15 layers of ecosystems, split up on four terrains and other objects. In some layers I have used, with satisfaction, the new "Affinity/Repulsion" functions. - the foam has been realised with two materials (the first blank and the second as standard water), mixed with input node "Distance to Object Below", in function editor (you can find tutorials about in C3D). - the different reflection of the sea surface has made of two similar materials, with only different highlight and "Turn reflective with angle". - basically there are three terrains, which compose the island: one for the beach, one for the table land and one for the promontory. The technical core, for this project, are two new power functions of Vue 6: - materials layers and - environment ecosystems parameters Credits: Cutter and Chateau by Alain Graca. Terrains textures by ayreon-seven. In next days I will prepare some middle views. Thanks for view and comments! Luigi.

Impressive work ! Lots of weeks, I'm not surprised Poly count must be pretty high on that scene, even if Vue deals with that in its own mysterious way !

Well, these are all mind-blowing pictures. You have certainly demonstrated a lot of the new features in Bryce 6.

It looks like a fantastic project. :-) One detail you might want to look at. You have a morie pattern in the sand from the function that is mixing the rippled sand and the smooth sand. There may be other details you can improve on (we always can do that, hey?), but that's the only thing that jumped out at me negatively. On the positive side, the overall work and effect is fantastic. :-)
