Description

Here is a card from the Fantastical Creatures Tarot, due out later this year. It is a watercolor painting of the Chinese Fu (Foo) Dogs, powerful mythic protectors that have traditionally stood in front of Chinese imperial palaces, temples, emperors' tombs, government offices, and the homes of government officials and the wealthy from the Han Dynasty (206 BC - 220 AD) until the end of the empire in 1911AD. Love Fu Dogs normally but this ...wow.. a side of the Fu I have never seen represented.. nicely done.

You have the touch of John Bauer in your style and I really love his work. Do you know his art? He came from Sweden and lived during the last part of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th(?) Just google his name and you will see. Beautifully done! Cheers ;o) Michael
