Description
Meet Taui. Taui loved astronomy, botany and gardening, but above all he loved exploring. He was very good at those things, however, he knew nothing about private property, passports, permits and humanity. When he found a planet bursting with life he was filled with such happiness that words can't describe, and could hardly wait to tell his family and friends all about it. As he put down to study a flower, however, his happy heart was doomed to be broken forever.... unless we save him!

Really good fun. It's Douglas Addams humour....remember the 2 space armadas that fought for milleniu before attacking earth, only to be eaten by a small dog?

Love it! Just kill the little darn green thing!
vector_rector
Priceless...totally! One good thing though, he's so small that they should'nt have a problem finding a pickle jar that he'll fit in.

Studying the flowers isnt part of any problem, unless it is a poppy flower or those pretty little yellow flowers on 7 leaf rope making plants. Looks like he arrived openly in daylight & isnt expectng a handout or taxpayer support for his flower picking efforts. being small and green would likely exclude any expectation of expending taxpayer funds for indigent health care. I also suspect he wasnt previously aware of national borders, entry or other requirements commomly known to earth inhabitants before moving across international boundries. Earthlings need to inspect his cargo holds for flora or a number of other little green men looking for flowers too. Lastly, now that he is here I suspect that he wont be complaining about the pay for flower sniffing.

Nicely done. The dust and lighting effects seem so natural. Kinda feel sorry for the little guy, though, that is SOME welcoming committee!

Most of Taui's flying saucer is made from simple Bryce booleans.
eyeland
Clever & funny, though on the more serious side, it can be viewed as a satirical look at how fearful, paranoid & aggressive we have become about anyone different than ourselves. Strong, well-composed scene...
Rupert
I'm stunned they didn't throw him to the ground and step on his throat. Great idea/execution.

I'm an immigration officer and can quite categorically state that we don't use tanks. Yet.

Awesome scene.
ArtByMel
LOL, this is an absolutely awesome creation.
ramthor
...unfortunately when Taui fired his 360 degree ThermoPlasmic Death Ray, destroying everything for a half-mile, it ruined the pretty flower! Very nice, Max.

I just received high command communications, where the soldiers are asking, "What do we do with a 5 fingered alien, thought they were supposed to have only 3"? Response: "Shoot first ask questions later". Nice!!
