Great! Evidently the BG is a photo, however I'm sure that you could find a better texture. You can find some in the Patterns' library of Photoshop, generally there are in BW, so you put them in a sperate Layer above the photo and you put this Layer in Overlay blend mode. In this Mode, everything which is darker than 50% grey darkens what is underneath and every grey which is lighter than 50% makes the colour underneath look lighter. If you notice that the result is too faded, go to the above Layer and make Image>Adjustments>Levels, and adjust the density and contrast. For an example go to my recent post "Are you hungry", dated Febr. 23th, the BG has been made this way. This gives the most realistic canvas effect. Anyway I rate your work 5+!

Thank you very much, Elcet. :))) Yes the BG is A photo. I have plenty of textures and and filters to play with. I even have many in Paint Shop Pro it self, which have no need for blendmode. It looks very realistic, that canvas from Feb 23th and very nice. Actually I used canvas on the painting-like photo I have made Dec 14th, so that the "paint" should look like on a canvas....maybe not the most convincing but not so bad, I believe. :)) Anyway I certainly will try the way you do it, because I am indeed interested in other methods of doing things. Never too late to learn. :))) Thanks once more for your nice comments and constructive critic too, which I also apreciate, because from that we learn. Have a lovely week-end. :)
