Description
I have this 2001: A Space Odyssey 3D meshes, downloaded from the web, by years.
I had toyed with them many times with Bryce, but none of my old render make justice of them, so I always trash them all.
Finally today I have the right mood for 2001. Here is the result.
The render is thinked for printing. The original size is 3189 x 2126 pixels.
Space station mesh by Matthew Parker, totally remapped by me, Pan Am Clipper mesh by B.J. West.
BTW:
Starting from december I had put on sell worldwide on Ebay signed and numbered prints of my artworks, with great pleasure of many customers that now have my art on their walls... ;)

Very nicely done recreation of Robert McCall's poster! I still wonder why McCall showed the PanAm ORION SpaceClipper leaving the station rather than arriving. And something struck me just now-- the ORION SpaceClipper uses this side which means the ARIES 1B Lunar Shuttle must have a vehicle-specific dock on the other side the central core. Either that or passengers and supplies have to be transferred by an unshown station-to-ship shuttle bus.
