While visiting a friend's page on myspace.com, I noticed an image that looked familiar. Although it was a smaller version of the original, I could see the logo, and sure enough it was an image by "Antje". The image had a link to the provider, and when I went to that site I saw art by Antje, Bez, Toxic Angel, and Amber Dreamz, all are members here. I wondered if these artists had granted permission to this web site, to modify and give away their images! The web site is http://www.hostdrjack.com, and this commercial site gives away gif images which were created by others and modified to make them sparkle or move. If you have any concerns for your art you might wish to look into this. I saw images with large copyright letters within the image, still being offered in spite of the obvious effect it has on the image. So, water marking your images in this way will not stop others from using them. If you are friends with any of the artists I named above, please contact them. (Maybe they have granted permission to this site?)
