Description
Just screwing around with some ideas.
Wanted to see what heatwaves might look like using Vue.
The shuttle landing at Edwards AFB was a natural for that experiment.
Some years back I actually did one like this in oils capturing the same idea, Heatwaves.
Used 3ds Max to make the models and Vus 6I for the render.
A little postwork in PS as well.
Enjoy.

holy scat dude i can't even keep up. making sweet ass renders is one thing but making them quickly is a highly underrated talent. more American goodness. it's like a cool breeze because i see it rarely on this site. i dig this picture. totally admire how you have the balls to distort your images. the heat waves look good until they hit the trees, then it just looks like a painting. but you probably already know that. even with the distortion that desert feel with the hazy, brownish, light blue, dry, cloudless sky that you'd find at a desert Air Force base is captured in this. that's some nice weather pickin brotha.
