Hi, and welcome to my Artist's Page! In addition to being a novelist, (Glamour Job: A Fairy-tale for Grown-ups), I'm a professional actor and I've been doing illustrations for magazines and books for over 30 years. I'm a big fan of Gil Elvgren, Will Elder, Wally Wood, Richard Corben, Joe Chiodo, Monkeypunch, and Masume Shirow. Their influences show in my work. I now live in New York City.

Great POV and cutie character. Nice work!

Excellent no-post render! It always amazes me how good an image you can get if you spend the time. Great looking character too.

Thanks to both of you! This is the second of two versions. The first had more contempt in the expression and had the sword pointed more at the viewers face, but it scared my kids. This one has more disappointment and weariness in the expression. It almost begs for the captions: "You're not too quick, are you, Tubby? You're slower than a hocker on an icicle..." or "You call that a 'weapon'? I might even be scared, but I don't have a magnifying glass...!!"

Great! First Fairy I've seen with an expression.
