Description

An early morning Chess game to start the day right. Chess fans will understand the title. The defensive position the white king is in, if I am not mistaken, is called a house, by some. Certain events have unfolded and I find I need to display some of my model work. So here is my Chess from earlier renders. All objects you see has been made in the CAD program SolidWorks. The Chess is modeled from a set bought in Singapore in 1975/76. It is a portable Chess set (folding type but I did not do that bit of detail), the pieces fit in foam padding under the board. Bryce 6.1, HDRI, 30 minute render time. Black has just finished a move (the bishop threatening the knight). What should the white move be?

Queen to E2 ? That would cover the knight, but freeze it. On the other hand it would free the left-hand knight and bishop. (I'm not a very good chess player)

Queen to G5. Very nice work. You've made us look at both the chess game and the coffee cups equally IMO. 5

Fantastic job! My next move would be to excuse myself to go to the bathroom and accidently knock over the board, dislodging all the peices and calling for a mismatch. That aside, ya get the big 5*
