Great to have you back and looks like you've been on an incredible journey. Wonderful shot here! You've timed it perfectly with that man in the boat and great clarity to this. Is that a solar panel I see near that house on your right? It's an incredible world we live in isn't it? The diversity always leaves me amazed. Thanks for sharing and welcome back #;0)

WELCOME BACK MARY!!!!what an awesome vista and marvelous capture. in Peru there is a mountain road that is called carreta de los muertos(highway of the dead). a bus ran over a cliff and there was only one surviving man and when he got out of the hospital he returned to the accident scene to try and find his son's body that was never recovered.well this bus ran off the highway and once again he was the only survivor.now when people see him on a bus they refuse to ride the same bus.true story I believe as they had it on tv here

Is that lake way up in the mountians and it a big lake too. If it the same one I read a boak about this man who took his big ocean sail boat there and sail the lake. The natives was shock to see it going against the wind. I think this happen in the 1960's.

Nice to see you back. I knew you would get some great photos in Peru!! The colours of the clothing is electric. I guess they used natural dyes for such brilliant hues. The whole photo tells an interesting story in itself. Looking forward to more. Let me know when you have them up on Webshots.

Fantastic image. I love that they have a solar panel -- this adds a new dimension when trying to imagine their day-to-day lives.

Welcome back! Fantastic shot of this exotic (to me) place. Looking forward to more for this trip of yours. Perhaps I would have panned the camera up just a little to get less water.

Wonderful in every way!

excellent series this one about Peru... now, about this photo, I loved the colors, the POV and the compo, we can see 3 main lines or well balanced dimensions in just one photo: the water, the land (with local people), the sky (with some clouds)... just perfect!
Fotogen
Awsome image. The color of their clothing against the blue water and sky is really making this image. Love the POV. This is going to my favorites.
