Description
Narchi could almost make it out in the dimness inside of what was left of the lander's avionic bay. He heard the thump of feet, followed by a ,"Mmmmmm?"
Narchi said,"Hey--grab the flashlight and bring it over here!"
He heard a familiar chuckle, "Heh! Sure thing, Narch!"
Narchi whipped around.almost knocking his horn off and shouted, "Pazu! You ol' bastard! What in hell are you doing in HERE?"
Pazu shrugged and brought the flashlight over. "I saw Jeet run out a while ago, while I was looking the wrecked APC over for loot. I figured he had to have you around! On the EAST SIDE of the river? Narch--YOU can't fly!"
Jeet came running up, with a splash through the dirty flood water, and stopped, staring at Pazu. "Uncle Pazu! What are you doing here?" Lieutenant Dakk came in immediately after, while Narchi held up a hand.
Narchi pointed to Dakk and said to Pazu, "This is Dakk, from flying city 64. I'm working with him and Captain Dokka. Fuzzy-butt, here", indicating the squirrel-derived Beastman, Jeet," practically grew up in a LV-128. I've pulled plenty of maintenance in them. So...we're experts!"
"Dakk, this is Pazu. He's NOT a real Pazu-malta demon! He doesn't steal souls, or trick people, etcetera. He's a pre-collapse, pre-blight Discard made in the image of a Pazu-Malta. He's an old friend of mine and very wise." Narchi looked at Dakk warily.
Dakk laughed, "I don't believe in ghosts or demons. If you're a friend of Narchi's, I suppose you're alright. Pleased to meet you."
Pazu held the flashlight over the lip of the circuit-cabinet and asked,"Why are you folks caring for the tomb of idiots? They shot at the River-King and got killed for stupidity. Didn't they?"
Narchi said, "Maybe...but the Princess of city 64 wants--HOLY SHIT!"
Pazu remarked, "She wants a load of what?"
Narchi very carefully pulled out a opti-circuit board. Dakk and Jeet looked blank. Dakk asked,"What is it?"
Pazu whispered, "Unless I'm seeing things--a Jade Empire Slave Chip! In a HUMAN vessel? Oh MY!"
Dakk hissed, "Son of a BITCH! Talk about a smoking gun!"
Jeet said in a tight voice,"Hold it still--I read a finger-print. Don't touch it again, Mister Narchi! Hold it still!"
Pazu said to Dakk, "I have no idea what's going on, but you should sign me up! I'm good luck!"
Dakk laughed, "Maybe! Can't argue that!"

interesting image. the lighting looks a little dull to me...maybe have it reall bright outside..and have a bright lightbeam coming in from the doorway and hole in the ceiling. there seems to be an odd reflection of a cityscape over the walls and figure on the left of the image :)

I take it the flashlight is on? Because if the lighting on the faces. A shame the actual beams don't show up. but what a fascinating story :)

Very interesting mixture of elements. They also have very good poses and good interaction between them. There's a sense of life and movement in the scene. What I dont like so much are some of the textures: left thigh of the character on the left (Pazu, I think), the texture of the center character (that doesn't look very much like fur, imho), and the objects that we see through the door (it looks a bit fake). The expression of the green guy (Dakk) is very good!

Nice posing. I would try a higher displacement on the fur to try to get that long-furred look, particularly on the tail. I'm seeing some kind of strange shadow that looks like a painting of a city skyline, most noticeably on the wings of the dude on the left. Not sure what that's all about, but it's quite distracting. I like the expressions on the characters. I shall have to go back and see your other ones now :-)

Left to right is Pazu, Jeet (the fuzzy-butt squirrel Beastman), Narchi, and in the background is Dakk. I should have made it clearer. I think the skyline came from an infinite light that was an IBL, that got changed back by mistake. I'll re-render that while I'm out. Pazu's wearing a striped loin cloth, so that's not his thigh (or naughty parts!) LOL
