I tend to work with dark colours, because I think they are stronger and have more mystic power than everything else. My influences are seattled in different genres. Excellent texuture work and compo. The scene reflect solitude and love hope and dream, in a closed world (squared house, closed windows, no doors on the water, ...). If I dare, the pontoon should be remove, it doesn't fit with the excellent rest of the picture !

Excellent pose, and the muted colour palette adds to the overall sense of sadness. I agree about removing the pontoon, for me, it doesn't fit with the rest of the image :-)
