Description

These pictures were taken from the 03 level that is the 4th floor of a ship. I took the pictures as a wave was breaking over the hurricane bow of the destroyer DD950 over in the South China Sea. I have always liked this sequence of pictures. I took the last picture as the wave was about to hit the half wall I was standing behind. I ducked behind it and put my camera in my coat to protect it. I did some clean up on the picture by hand using paint. It is hard work. Enjoy. I am sorry about the quality of the pictures as they were taken when I was in the Navy many years ago. All I had was a cheap camera. I did some clean up on the picture by hand using paint. I could not get the edit function to upload the new picture. So I added it as a new one called "Duck". Enjoy.

That is a great series regardless of the camera quality. Not a view very many of us get to "sea"....lol

I would never have the oppertunity to capture something like this. I'm not so sure I'd want to take a new camera along anyway. Old and maybe fuzzy shots, but still pretty intriguing huh? Nice memories for sure!!

WOW! Rig the lifelines! She's divin' bows under! Cool shots that only a sailor could get. Photoshop might be able to clean up these excellent pics!
