This is my second & more historical accurate effort of impressing the splendour of this building at it's time.I'd like to thank personally everyone who read my comments in the previous version of this picture, & for those who didn't, please support the Greek effort of bringing home the Parthenon marbles. You can visit the British site www.parthenonuk.com & vote for that.Any help will be valuable.
Thank you

Very impressive!!! I think you're work is smashing! You have an incredible amount of patience. One comment, I don't know a great deal about the Pathenon, but I thought, (and I could be wrong) that the statues were painted. In any case it receives my highest rating. (it is my desk top background)

Perfection comes short of expressing what I see :) Unfortunately it's even more timely now that an item has recently been stolen from the British Museum, probably never to be recovered again :( And thank you for finally showing it how it really was in all its splendor in colour! Most people still think that Greek monuments were simple marble.

Your historical recreation is very good. The lighting of the overall image could be improved. The marble textures could really be enhanced with lighting. Fix this problem, and this image will be Excellent. As for bringing the marbles home, I think the Brits paid for them, didn't they? Is Greece planning to buy them back?

Excellent image and the dedication behind it shows! As for Iakobos261's comment, the millions of tourists for over 100 years that have poured into the British Museum just to get a close glimpse of the Greek marbles (so heavily mutilated by British as well) have more than repaid their intial "investment". By the way, who shall we send the bill too? The Turks maybe since they were the original recipients of the British money! Just a small history lesson :)

A superb historical reconstruction work. You must be as learned as you're skilled in rendering images. This work is breathtaking!
