But gentle flowers are born and bloom around From every drop that falls upon the ground: Where streams his blood, there blushing springs the rose; And where a tear has dropped, a wind-flower blows. Wood Anemone - Wind-Flower - Anemone nemorosa Today I got to walk in the local woodland and to see the carpet of early spring flowers developing, it brought such joy and elevation to my heart and soul I cannot tell you. A photograph will not do it any justice, I post one here dedicated to those who cannot get to see the flowers of the wild wood and their overwhelming beauty. Richard. See your image in full size, i 'm stuned that's an anemone! Lovely close up on yellow pistils and smooth on the other part of the flower Thought at the first viewing, before reading you, that was a crocus .. Get to read my savage flowers book, maybe they are in a same "family" early spring ? ( idiot apprentice lol!!!)
