Description

This image has been censored 4 times. I think that is extremely insulting. Especially if you consider the THOUSANDS of other kisses on this forum between two women. These two are wearing clothes, even! Flagged for being TOO SUGGESTIVE. UPDATE: Today (4-2-07), this image was vindicated by a vote from the Renderosity staff, who chose to allow the image as it was intended, without any advisory message. My Thanks! ~Sharia~

Problem is, you have these junior members of the morals police, complaining about anything that isn't "G" rated. Then the gutless wonders that run this site, cave in, and start censoring anything that is toooo suggestive.

Nobody said they were lesbians! Of course, it might be... suggested... that they are, but I've seen a lot of women kiss like this, and they weren't sexually interested in each other at all. Thanks for the support. :) ~Sharia~

Very sweet. If people want "G"-ratings they can go to DAZ. I came to Renderosity because it wasn't. All this is getting rather tiresome.

+What a fantastic image the posing is superb. So much emotion in it,this may be the problem as it is such an evocative image, and renderosity can't deal with that? Having done a few images which some would consider risky i can't see any problem with this brilliant scene. John

Instead of a comment: One of the last images that I posted was removed because of an "inappropriate" thumbnail; I posted it again with the following comment: "I posted this image with a full scene thumbnail. If I hurt someones feelings, I feel sorry. But I think there are three responsibilities. 1. The artist: he should clearly declare what are the contents of his picture. 2. The spectator: he should prevent by his choice, that he can not see, what might hurt his feelings, or the feelings of those under his responsibility. 3. The Gallery: The Gallery should prevent the facility that the spectator can see or block out, what he does not want to see. Nothing else is necessary." I think we as the artists should insist, that this is the way the gallery will be run. By the way, the rejected thumb was a "nude" wire frame!

I cannot figure out why this picture should be censored. It shows how arbitrary censorship has become, because this picture can be be displayed in any PUBLIC places. The only "reason", may be, is that I see LOT OF PASSION that is expressed between the two women. That the most passionate picture I have ever seen; it is so beautiful and so artistically rendered. I thank you to share such artistically beautiful picture with us: follow artists and graphic art lovers. My question: "Is passion a sin?" Or "Is passion illegal or criminal?" I am speechless by the way the TOS are arbitrarily interpreted. You have the right (and if fact, ALL OF US have the right) to get a more precise answer from the censors. Indeed, the answer should be made public. Anything less means that the freedom of expression is being violated. I hope that what I am writing can be understood, because English is not my native language.

Nothing suggestive about a kiss, now if they were nude I expect everyone to go nuts, nice render anyway :)

I really hated to have to use the (Contains Nudity) option, because, as you can see, it doesn't. But I wanted it to stay online this time around. As for how passionate the scene is... that's exactly what I intended to capture. Something that felt 'real' and not artificial. Love is passion, and I wanted to show that love. ~Sharia~

Very nice. You've captured the intensity of the moment quite well. As far as the censorship thing goes, my gallery is empty and I'm unlikely to be uploading anything in the future if I have to deal with this. Apparently the censors can see much further into the future than I can, because the only sexually suggestive aspect of this picture could be several hours or even weeks away, depending on where they are and how quickly they race to strip down. IMHO, right now they're just sneaking a kiss in the stairwell at work and won't actually take any step toward sexual suggestiveness until a steamy day in June, a couple months from now, after a few margaritas. And even then, they'll be interrupted by a friend knocking on the door to invite them to a barbecue, an invitation they will accept, deferring their pleasure for at least another week. :-) Maybe the censors are a bit too impatient for their lesbian sex, seeing as they seem to think it's imminent?

Haha! Could very well be they're entertaining their boyfriends too. Isn't whitespace great? Let's your imagination wander....

Well,I haven't been around this site for more than one year, but I have the feeling that there has been less and less 'art noveau', i.e. daring and provoking and (thus) INTERESTING art, the last months. Is the morality watchs trying to strangle the artists again. Look guys, Hitler didn't win and the Soviets are fallen!!

Oh, congratulations! I think I would be beside myself with exasperation and sheer annoyance, if a decision was placed on this magnificent work, had it been my own. I LOVE it. This is so natural and DOESN'T imply lesbianism in any way shape or form in my view. It's an absolute classic and deserves proper recognition. All I can do personally, is add it to my favorite images. Excellent work in every respect! Steve :o)

DLG <--> If this remained a violation of the TOS (which this clearly does not and probably never did) I would not have seen this beautiful work. What's suggestive, touching someone's hair? I found it mind-boggling when the TOS was changed in this way in the first place. Renderosity wants to clean up their image? Like it was ever tarnished O_o oh wait they did tarnish it by being the moral police..... Anywho..... this is in my favorites, 5+*****

Instead of all this councilic Judgement, you'd have thought there was a superior way of ensuring that members had a validity certificate against their name and membrship so that it was only those who could not prove their age that would be unable to see work not correct for viewing by minors.
