Description

Go down the Lily Pond Lane and take a sharp left and go to the fairy bridge and walk about two yards up the little knoll and lay down on your tummy and look directly across the pond. I would bring some binoculars, but don't get caught with them, you may get a nasty surprise... they go for the nose... so I am told. You will see the flight school. And you thought you knew how fairies fly...ha! No, you don't. You thought they are born with wings...No they aren't. They have to earn them. Which, I may add, is a guarded secret. Not all fairies have wings. Nope. It doesn't mean they are good or bad or better or worse than the other fairies, they just haven't earned them yet. Though, there are a couple of rotten, all around nasties who are intent on causing mischief in the forest that don't have wings, but luckily they are few. Anyway, there you will spot Zelda the Zooper, the fairy flight instructor and her trusty assistant, Mumbles the Mouse and of course, the newly winged fairies listening intently to her instruction. "Zooper" as she is affectionately known, is one of the best, if not the greatest flier in the forest. She can dart, and dash through the woods with ease, grace and agility. She is an expert at avoiding the hazards, that would bring a normal flier down. If the breeze is blowing in your direction, may hear..."first you put your left foot out and shake it all about, then you put right foot out and shake it all about, put them together, wiggle your behind, throw some magic dust, flap your wings and jump up." Along with doing this in quick succession to actually fly, you must learn to do it with grace and ease. Also, you must learn things to avoid. Trees, they can give a big headache, bumps and scratches. Spider webs. Oh, they are a sticky mess to get out of the hair and you must use a dewebbing potion, which is nasty smelling...Pepper Weed. Hit a patch of that and a Fairy will sneeze and that can send her backwards three feet into the brambles if lucky and far worse if not...or so I am told. And you thought it was easy to fly! Ha! :o) There was not postwork done. I would like to thank everyone who comment on my last image.
