Description

Whoo! Lots to say on this one. First of all, for a while, I've been watching Oborochann on DeviantART and I love the little charms she makes. She recently uploaded a couple of tutorials, but did I start easy? No! Do I ever? No! I always get impatient and want to skip a few years of practice and move right on into the advanced stuff :P So, I decided to mold little figures of Sagwa and Sheegwa from the PBS kids' show Sagwa. If you're unfamiliar with it, check out pbskids.org/sagwa If you've watched me, you know I've submitted several 2D fanart images of Sagwa characters in the past. I first did Sagwa, but I didn't like the brown. It was too dark. I ended up repainting her after lightening up the darker brown with some white, and she came out much better. The bibs are actually silk fabric glued onto them. I had a very fun time doing them, and I think over all things turned out quite well, given it's my first time (in 5 or 6 years, anyway) modeling with clay and painting and all that. I have a few more touch-up spots to do, and then I will glaze them over for a professional-looking finish. I have the entire clan planned (Dongwa, Baba, and Mama) and I am looking so forward to doing Mama because of all her beautiful jewelry. Anyway, once I get more done, I'll move this to the scraps section. Thanks to DeviantART's Oborochann and Blackmago for the inspiration to finally start working with clay again! I also want to apologize for the lack of detail. I had to use a webcam to photograph them for now, so they are all fuzzy, but once I finish the group, I'll use a real camera. Promise! (If this is in the wrong category, I apologize. I know renderosity is a computer 3D modeling site, so it coulc very well mean digital 3D models, but there wasn't another category that fit.)
