Description

Hi everyone! I uploaded this image quite a long time ago and was never really happy with it, so I have done a little tweaking and this is the result. My husband actually spotted a lot of people working in their communal rice field whilst driving through Laos. We told our driver to stop and started climbing over gates and through a field until we came within shooting range. They were quite oblivious then, all of a sudden, this chap saw me and gave me the biggest smile ever! This is the final result. Hope you like it.

I visit Laos tho.. And i do love their traditional dance if you had the chance to see it.. Also it ain't far from Thailand :D Wonderful shot and the rice collector's smile is just awesome.. Thank you for sharing your old shots with us dear and have a nice day JOE

very candid capture. I think many of us in the western world or Europe do not realize that many people toll from sunrise to set working with back breaking labor in a rice paddy to just to be able to get part of the rice they harvest so their family can eat. I was in a very poor family when I was a child, but I never realized the hardship of people really destitute that I saw in the Filipines.Africa is another story more desperate
