Description

So deceptively simple, yet, among the hardest thing I have ever done. There are no materials off the shelf in Bryce to do any of this, and it was a tortuious process tweaking them to get it right. When an object is also the entirety of the scene, it has to be perfect. No matter what I did, it never looked convincing. Before long, there I was studying the anatomy of an egg. Its a tough little buggar, with all the goo and the film over the yolk, etc etc. Anyways, at my current level of expertise, this is the best I can do. Egg Shell Half: 1 terrain, 3 spheres Egg White: 5 metaballs Egg Yolk: 3 metaballs

Well, someone's gonna have to say it, so it may as well be me: "egg-cellent"! :-) You've done a great job of construction, texturing and rendering! Very realistic!

A beautiful image, is not necessarily complex, a black point in a white paper can be fantastic. The reality of that egg made to eat lunch me earlier. Pure creativity. Exuberant work.

Yeah it's hard enough to get a photorealistic inorganic image in Bryce (I admire those who succeed), let alone an organic one. It's a good study.

Good job, very successful, The yoke, the shell thickness, the broken edges and the lighting are very convincing. Except for the roundness of the two halves don't seem to match. I was jealous, I copied the idea... I made the shells with SILO but to have a smooth surface the broken edge looses its sharp corners.

This egg is really fantastic. Looks incredibly difficult to create.
