This is really great. Love the lights and shadows here. Great pose on the two guys whith the cross. Just the one in the middle need a more powerfull pose. ;)He looks like he dont belong to the scene. But this is my only critic point. Excellent work you done here.

I guess they have a revolving business ;) Are the two cross bearers there because they HAVE to be, or because they WANT to be? My small suggestions: Some Ambient Occlusion on the cross surfaces to help the viewer place the hands, and some gravity bend on the lashes of the Cat-O-Nine-Tails; and maybe a "come here" gesture from the torturer for the next client. Nice shadows!

I really like the backdrop and lighting here. The posing of the characters with the crosses is very good too. I think that the torso skin is a little too glossy for my tastes though. I think the concept is excellent though! Well done!

Interesting picture. The wood textures look great. Blood is realistic. The poses of the left and right characters is good. In addition to what was suggested above, I would suggest to make the left hand of the central character less stiff. Also the character on the right is not very well supported by the floor (one foot up, the other foot just on his toes and in a strange angle with the body). Some variation on the clothes would make it a richer picture. The clothes also seem a bit too shiny, specially for those days (no synthetic fibres yet).

I believe more diversity in the clothing and clothing textures and a bit of bumpmapping the floor would greatly improve this picture. Maybe even scale down the floor texture a bit, since it seem a bit stretched. Also as pjz99 suggested a bit more defined shadows around vital places such as hands would also make a better feel of it, and some re-posing of the center character. Good work with room for some more, keep at it.

nice concept but not sure what the story is here. Are you trying to replay the Crucifixion of Christ or just prisoners? Don't care for the green tights. Potentially a great piece here. Add rubbish, trash, etc., to the street to give it a grittier, used look. Find some period clothes or paint on torn clothing. If the guy in the middle is supposed to be a roman, there are plenty of Roman equipment out there to spiff him up. AND, I know, shut up already, add spectators, mourners, etc. to the scene. If you system can't handle that, and most can't, render the scene with one person at a time and then add it all together in photoshop. Yeah, loads of work but it'll make for one hell of an amazing scene.

For people that don't know, in the middle-age (not only in middle-age, still today!!) during the 40 days before Easter people used to do penitences, punished themself, some crucified and so on.... This theme was pretty well explored by Monty Python!!!!!
