Kimarie Chartier here- 43. I live in Canyon Country /Newhall area , Southern California. I have always been an artist . I started drawing at age two. My Mother said when I was a child I always had something to draw with in hand and I would cry when the paper ran out (LOL) ..I went to art school for a short while and have taught art to elementry school kids. I have done many oil paintings , pastels and watercolors , but recently , have been intrigued with digital photography and computer photo art in paint shop pro. now, I mainly work in Paint shop pro 7 and 11. I now also just beginning to work in ADobe photoshop cs2 ! I also am a full time Mom with three girls ( who are all over my gallery) Annie 16, Janel 13, and Christina 10. Between my parenting, photoshoots, Renderosity and playing in paint shop/ photoshop I keep very busy ! I also have a sweet, loving cocker spaniel named Candi who is very needy of much love and attention lol She goes with me on photoshoots-oh- 'cept when I am shooting birds haha cause she is a bird hunter by nature!!
I LOVE any kind of art .like to draw and paint with basically anything I can get my hands on (LOL)!
I have fallen in love with photography
opening up light and dark and seeing the limitless possiblities! But I do still love to paint too!!  Works like Nightfears , came from nothing but my immagination -drawing/ painting with only a mouse paint and smudge tools from a blank page in paintshop 7. I started out with a Nikon 7900 pocket cam and am at the moment working in photography..now also have two other canon pocket cams a sl900
and sx 100is - mainly all my work in my gallery is done with my little pocket cams - they go with me everywhere and is an an extention of my right hand!! I have a canon rebel as well but it isnt working all that great so manly using the pocket cams for now . Learning..growing and sharing on here is the best!! I don't know what I would do without this site it has helped me learn so much..( this site motivates me so much ) I love it here ! yeah so I got the photography bug ..and I also love to do photo art...!! I, every now and then I will do a painting or a smudging as I call it.( you can see most of my smudge painting works hand done with a mouse on the first two pages of my gallery!!)

Wonderful and sharp, really shows the fur texture and of course the smiling face and eyes. I think I'd be nervous and get lots of camera shake on this one, great steady hands!

this brings back memories of a dog I had that died. he was a spitting image of this wolf. when people would see him"King" they would ask if he was a wolf. he was only part and was much larger than wolfs. I think he was mostly malamute .he was gentle as a lab and very sweet dog. did not bark at any thing except cats and that is natural.exceptional capture and I am happy you could post

I was about to say I wonder if she died and went to photo heaven.. but nope.. there ya is... one foot away from ending up in heaven anyway.. in front of a beauty like this!!!! Lovely clear and sharp image Lady...

Wolves are related to dogs, jackals, and coyotes. Wolves are mammals just like you and me. The gray wolf (Canis lupes), also called a timber wolf, is the largest of all wolves. Wolves are pack hunting animals. They are also very social with the rest of the pack. Wolves are the ancestors of dogs. Wolves are also very smart. They have developed many attack formations. Wolves are native to many parts in the world, and are capable of adapting to many different kinds of weather. Wolves are like giant German Sheppard dogs with a bushy tail and longer legs. The color of most wolf fur is gray or black sometimes red. Wolves are very good hunters, because they can hear and smell things a mile away. WELCOME BACCCCCCCCCKKKKKK Kimarieeeeeeee!!! wonderful shot of that handsome! And the clarity is totally amazing, specially the sharpness tho! Hehehe.. Now love to see what you took of new shots with your REBEL XT honey! Thank you for the post and have a lovely day JOE

Home schooling is not as easy at it appears?!!! That's a tough job you took on Kimmers!! Nice to see you back, even for a moment, with a wonderful image of these strong but gentle animals! Wolves sure know the family structure, and obey it to the law! excellent shot, and welcome back!!!!! ;-)

Beautiful shot Kim..glad to see you again!!

What a gorgeous wolf! I suspect he is a strong male. He's not attempting to avert his eyes at all. And you, the brave soul! Not because of the wolf, but because you are home schooling! My hat's off to you for that!
ElorOnceDark
Wow! This is a beautiful shot! Look at those eyes--so expressive! I'm jealous that you were able to get this close. ;-)
goodoleboy
Excellent clarity and POV in this capture of the wolf! Missed you badly, glad you're back, and remember, unless it's an emergency, you always have first run on the computer. Incidentally, I thought of you when I drove past the Echo Park off ramp while driving on the 2 Freeway last Sunday.
