Description
This is Richmond, UK, in London, UK. I rode a bicycle there last weekend. That's the Thames river.
Really a beautiful spot, and everyone knows, as there were at least four simultaneous weddings going on as I ate my belated lunch there for about an hour.
Today I finally got to assemble all the shots of the panorama.
I was born in Richmond, IN. The main topographic feature there is a similar river valley, on the Whitewater. That's where I found my very old Miamian arrowhead made of flint.
These days, I'm in California, and I live in Palo Alto, less than 50 miles from Richmond, CA
The name Richmond apparently comes from Normandy, "riche-mont" coming out as "high" or "rich" (expensive?) mound, hill, mount, mountain,. so an exclusive highland over a valley. Easy for London, a nice goal for Indiana! ;-) (wink)

I was born in Franklin, IN....that anywhere near Richmond? We're probably cousins :) It sure is a beautiful shot Jim. Someday open area like this will be a premium.

I'm seriously jealous of the stitchwork - Can't find a single artifact. England has the best clouds, doesn't she? But PA has its advantages....
