I went to the pryo this last week end and shot some shots of wath going on. Most the images I do not like. It not because they out of focus or anything like that. It the subjuct matter or how I should say it boreing looking. Maybe it just me in a mood that if I look at anything it boreing. Not good to be in so I do not delete for i know a week from now I look again and say " how I missed this" - here is a glass blower working on his glass I know nothing of what he is doing. - thanks for everything

Well I like this nice photo capture of a craftsman-artist at work, the blue flame turning yellow as it heats up the glass. I wonder what he made with this?

Oh yes, excellent shot my friend and very ncie color and composition. I would like to make like a reportage about that. I like to see this genre of work, like the person to work the cristal and the fire, but so hard for take some good picture if I don't have a very good flash and some other tools... He's heating up the glass for further blowing and/or shaping. It's an awesome process. I saw a film about glass blowing before! Looks scary though with the high temps they have to use on the glass for various reasons. Great pic Jock! (:

This is different to me as I have seen glass blowers sticking the boule into a furnace to heat it. Having a torch and having to turn it to keep heat uniform removes one degree of freedom from the shaping. In my early life it was when farmers switched from acetylene to M.A.P. gas for their torches that cheapening created a lost art.
