Description
This is an animal at the Animal Orphanage in San Antonio, TX. I know it's a lousy shot, what with the bars, but look closer. Is it a tiger kitten? Is it a cat? It's neither. And it's both. It's a crossing between a tiger and a cat.
It's not there to be viewed and admired, or laughed at. The Animal Orphanage looks after creatures like that which have been abandoned (or, "donated") by their owners. I'm not very fond of cats (I prefer dogs, and birds), and while I find tigers beautiful you won't see me stroking them and saying, "Huss, huss, huss!"
How can people do this? I could understand scientists doing these things for scientific purposes, especially to make people (or even animals) better. But why create freaks like this?

It's a very beautiful animal, I wonder what temperament it has? Wish I had the land, and my dog could share it. Wouldn't work out though :(

he's a lovely pussy cat..my home is like a haven for strays..big softy in the animal department i am....and yes nature shouldnt be played with!

It's sort of a weird thing with this one, and I've never seen anything like it before. He's so beautiful, I mean...LOOK at him...but it's so sad how he came to be. If only we could make such beautiful creatures without tampering with the natural order of things. I wouldn't mind buying a kitty with those markings, he really is gorgeous...
