The sea is made from two terrains (one for the breaker, and some volumetric balls for the foam (plus a little post in Photoshop)

I did a sails up and sails down version of this image but in high winds, the sails must come down to avoid damage. :)

Great shot...love the ship! They still need one sail up to keep from drifting sideways. It's all over if you don't!
