Aloha!
Now I'm sure some of you are thinking (or wishing even) that I'd posted a nice scenic picture of where I was in Hawaii this past week or so. And I will...I promise. But I thought this was pretty cool. We saw this the first day at the Honolulu Zoo in the Herpetarium. The top half of the image is the first photo I took...that note in the window is on 8.5 x 11 paper for scale reference. Then the bottom part is the zoomed in image I took with the flash.
I'll get around to some prettier pictures later this week. And I'll try to catch up with e-bots minimally and at least keep up with them later in the week. Won't have much time tomorrow 'cause we've got to head down to Grandma & Grandpa's for Easter to pick up the kids.

Happy easter to you, If I may offer something of more substance than "Excellent Work!!!", these shots are out of focus. If there is a glass casing, perhaps the camera focused on it. If you have the ability to manually control focus, it is very important to do so when photographing specimens in a case. Also, dim lighting can pretty much neutralize auto focus- in these scenarios, if you want to get good clear shots for memorabilia- you should do it manually. Just some tips, ya know- everyone else seems to just pat on the back instead of giving some helpful advice.

My Brother ran into them all the time when stationed there... Tells about Chasing one around his room with and Hitting it with a work boot..... Several Times Before having any effect... Tough little critters.... Nicely Done!

Spiders spiders everywhere they get on your clothes and in your hair and though you know they will not bite you still you know they might...you just can never be too sure about spiders :O)

IRVVVVVVVV.. i hate spiders.. and that egg sac is so creepy.. im totally glad our spiders here in Denmark aren't bigger than a cherry tomatoLOL i would die if i where standing face to face with a really big one.. but a great shoot anyway.. hugs c
