Description

These are two shots of apple blossoms from the same tree, taken at the same time. All of the buds & blossoms on the tree seemed to be on their own schedule; some were fully opened while others had yet to even begin. The apple tree is located in The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It looked to be an extremely old tree, located in a restored pioneer village near the southern entrance of the park. This is the 3rd in a series of posts from my visit there earlier this week. For a look at the second post, "Smoky Mountain Stream", just click here. Thanks for stopping by!

Stunning macros! Love the tight pink buds, amazing how many are in focus, hard to do (at least for me). The delicate petals in the lower shot look so happy in the sunshine. Each picture has a unique charm worthy of being its own post. Excellent idea to place them together like this!
